description: this position is
responsible for the entire client relationship, providing consultative selling
based on understanding of industry, client strategy and needs. the position
focuses on providing insightful, value-added research to existing clients.
the skills required to be successful are exceptional client management
skills, a team-selling focus, and a significant understanding of the market
research industry in general and ssi products and services in particular. this
role will be measured on increasing sales at the specific account(s) but also
critically on the introduction of additional ssi products and
services.
responsibilities and tasks:
•development of sales and
account plans
•recruitment of new accounts and new business
•pro-active
client development and retention
•solving critical account
situations
•managing capacity and feasibility together with department
head
•market development: recognition and development of new target
groups
•product development: sub panels, monitor, client panels
•write
management reports

realizing the sales targets on the
short and mid to long term.
required experience
bachelors degree
at least 3 years of relevant work experience in market research, with
specific industry experience required
demonstrated excellence in selling,
ideally in the market research space
exceptional client management skills
strong negotiation and facilitation skills
fluent english speaking as
work language, as well as good ability in writing
client focused, must be
able to persuade and motivate (also internal). take initiative and proactively
develop possibilities in the market.

the knowledge management group at survey sampling is seeking an
energetic new team member with strong communication skills, who would enjoy
working to support our sales and operations efforts through involvement in a
range of projects for the knowledge group.
responsibilities
include:
sharing knowledge of sampling, the market research industry and
ssi’s products and services with staff in the asia pacific offices.
using
desk research to answer questions about culture, demographics and product
incidences to support the sales and operations teams
helping to stock the new
ssi intranet with relevant, well written documentation
assisting research on
research efforts by managing our internal research projects in the
field
helping to forge relationships with local colleges and universities to
increase our knowledge and training opportunities for our staff.
you will
work closely with the marketing team and will have the opportunity to attend
conferences and client meetings in order to learn more about the industry and
understand our clients’ needs for knowledge and consultation support. you will
also be involved in projects to assess the performance and potential of ssi’s
future products to ensure they meet the needs of the research marketplace, and
that the sales and operations teams have a good understanding of new product
capabilities.
the candidate we’re looking for has at least 2 years of
experience in a research role, preferably at a research agency, and has a
thorough understanding of the research market and the role of sampling in it.
our candidate is also energetic, flexible, self-motivated and well-organized and
enjoys working on a variety of projects and tasks to support ssi’s quality
products.
